T-Light Hire- Outback 2.5 & Ranger 4.0 DC

Mobile lighting towers have been an increasing trend with safety requirements becoming stricter every day. Mainly used on roadworks, the T-Light lighting trailer have been a highly regarded product, backed off the reliability of power by our generators.  

Initially using the Outback 2.5, it was apparent that it was not enough to keep up with the lighting demand, so we moved to the Ranger 4.0, a bigger and quieter option. These generators are in a custom Safety Yellow colour to blend in with the trailer and have to be quiet so that it can be operational at night in residential areas and not create a noise complaint. 

The generators work with the on-board solar system to charge the batteries on the trailer. Its an all-inclusive trailer package, designed to be outside in harsh weather and running all hours of the night, particularly when there is no sunlight.

Thiess Mining Group- Husky 3.0 & Ranger 5.6 ‘OEM Spec

Thiess have been a client for many years. We power the T-Man lighting towers which are a critical part of mining equipment to allow their team to work at night safely.  

The original lighting towers were 240V with gaseous light bulbs that were proving to be a huge safety risk, particularly as they required frequent replacement and not overly bright. The power requirement for these meant they needed large diesel engines and only had a run time of 76 hours per tank. 

Thiess initiated an upgrade to the towers to LED lights which made the unit much brighter, but also fixed the issues of the need for replacing bulbs and reducing the high voltage risk moving from 240V down to 24V. The low power meant they could replace the existing generators to our single cylinder Husky 3.0 or our 2 Cylinder Ranger 5.6.  

This change meant they were able to reduce their fuel consumption dramatically to a run time of roughly 400 hours per tank, about the same amount of time the engines needed servicing. This meant a fuel economy increase of over 136%. These generators run every night for at least 10 hours, 7 days a week.  

These are a custom build with an extended service interval kit fitted and with ease of maintenance in mind, the generators are designed to be removed easily only being held by 4 bolts on the heavy-duty vibration mounts. 

Using our generators, we have been able to contribute to fuel saving of approximately 3.2 million litres of diesel and 8.5 million kilograms of CO2 emissions annually for the company. It also projected a saving of approximately $5.4 million annually at the time of transition as well, not including the savings in service costs.
