Thales Defence- 8.0kW APU ‘Bushmaster Spec’
Thales defence came to Eniquest and asked us to provide a power solution for the Bushmaster Vehicles. We designed and engineered a solution that can not only power the vehicle when the engine is not in use, but also keep the cabin cool.
It’s an 8kW DC power generator with a 6kW cooling system. The locker that the generator sits in is bolted to the side of the Bushmaster and withstands the harshest conditions any generator has to see.
The generator can be submerged through water crossings, withstand harsh corrugations and terrain to be as tough as the vehicle itself and be undetectable by infrared and noise. The troops can control the generator from inside the cabin and plays a crucial part of keeping the occupants safe. These lockers have the ability to be quickly disconnected and fitted with minimal disconnection points.
We designed and built the locker that houses the generator, along with the custom generator controller that interfaces with the vehicles control system, the DC alternator and a ‘extremely cold’ air conditioning system to keep the occupants cool. There is no other generator that we know of that has a built in A/C system.
Since working with Thales over the last 10 years, we have delivered close to 200 generators.

Boeing Defence: Project Currawong- Special 8kVA Spec
Project Currawong or Land 2072 Phase 2B was a step forward for communications with the Australian Defence Force. It’s a battlespace communication system in the way of a deployed land network and allows secure multimedia, voice & video communications, which we power.
The system is a rapid deployable satellite dish mounted to a trailer. There was not much space left on the trailer for a powerful generator which was a task for Eniquest to deliver. We came up with the most compact Ranger8000 design possible, that can withstand the test of time, be submerged through water crossings, extremely quiet and be as strong as the trailer itself.
The generator is unique in the way that the radiator is remotely mounted in the opposite end of the engine due to size restraints. The enclosure is as close to the internal components as possible so that the generator would fit in the trailer.
This generator plays a crucial part of the operation as without it, there are no means of communication out in the field. Over 30 of these generators were delivered as part of the project.

New Zealand Defence
New Zealand heard that we could provide the most compact and reliable power on the market. They approached us to deliver rapid deployable medium power generators to their defence force.
These generators provide much needed field power and are designed to withstand any environment. They are able to be transported in either land, air, or sea.
We delivered 20 generators in 2022 both a mix of 8 & 16 kVA, along with our famous paralleling boxes that allows the connection of two generators to work together and produce higher demand power when needed.
